July 4, 2003 We went to the 4th of July Parade in Mason which is a family tradition.
July 1, 2003 Jonas had his 4 month Doctor's appointment. (about 1 month late) He weighs 13 lbs. 3 1/4 oz., he is 25 1/2" tall and his head is 42 cm. in circumference which is 25% in weight, 75% in height and 50% in circumference.
June 9, 2003 Jonas had his first haircut today. It only took about 5 minutes.
June 8, 2003 Here are some new pictures of Jonas hanging out and eating carrots. What a mess!
May 31, 2003 Jonas had his first vegetable today. (Peas) He really didn't like them.
May 12, 2003 Jonas had cereal for the first time this evening. Click here for pictures. He is 3 months old and we can't believe how big he is getting. He is a bit more advanced at this age than Darien was.
March 26, 2003 Aunt Joan, Great Grandpa and Grandma Vissers came into town for a visit.

Feb 9, 2003 Everyone is still doing well. I'll post some more pictures tomorrow. We picked a name today 'Jonas Vernon'. Jonas is a Hebrew nickname for Jonah meaning 'Dove', and of course there is a SCI-FI connection (check out the Corin Nemiec character on the TV show SG1 http://www.scifi.com/stargate/sg1team/ ). Looks like we will be home Monday.
Feb 8, 2003 The baby is here! 7lbs 1oz. 20.5 inches long. Tons of hair. Click here for pictures. Everyone was healthy. After 18hours of labor we finally had to get a C-Section. He was born at 11:08am.Jan 8, 2003 Here is the latest ultra sound...the baby isn't breach (a concern) and is officially a BOY! (Click on the picture for a higher resolution.)

Aug 2, 2002 In case you haven't heard, we are expecting a new child. I'll try to get more info and stuff up. Here is a link to the names we had picked out for Darien so we will probably be starting with those.

05-23-2002 - Lori took a home pregnancy test, and tested positive.
05-24-2002 - Told Starr (Lori's) side of the family.
05-24-2002 - Told Vissers (Richard's) side of the family.
06-4-2002 - 1st doctor's visit. Meet with Irene Baker (nurse practitioner). Estimating due date of 1-29-03.
07-10-2002 - 2nd doctor's visit. Meet with Dr. Frank Takyi.
07-17-2002 - End of first trimester
07-31-2002 - 3rd doctor's visit with Irene Baker. 1st heart beat was 160b/m.
08-28-2002 - 4th doctor's visit with Dr. Frank Takyi. 1st ultra-sound. Heart beat was 152b/m. Technician couldn't tell the sex of the baby. The due date is Jan. 29th, 2003...the ultra-sound estimated the date as the 26th of January, so the Dr. Takyi left it as the 29th.
09-23-2002 - Lori felt the baby move for the first time.
09-24-2002 - 5th doctor's visit. Meet with Dr. Diane Peters (one of the doctors in Lori's rotation). Heart beat was 150b/m.
10-30-2002 - 6th doctor's visit. Meet with Dr. Maney (one of the doctors in Lori's rotation). Heart beat was 160b/m.
11-11-2002 - 7th doctor's visit. Meet with Dr. Whichert (one of the doctors in Lori's rotation). Heart beat was 144b/m.
11-26-2002 - 8th doctor's visit with Irene Baker. Heart beat was 155 b/m.
12-11-2002 - 9th doctor's visit with Dr. Takyi. Heart beat was 148 b/m.
